Villa Markella Booking & Stay Policies

Booking & Payment

To confirm a reservation at Villa Markella, a 30% booking deposit is required. This deposit secures your selected dates and is refundable only for cancellations made more than 30 days before arrival, excluding any bank or transfer fees.

The remaining balance of 70% is due on arrival. If you prefer to complete the balance by bank transfer, payment must be received at least 3 days before arrival. Payment details will be provided once you are ready to confirm your booking.

Please note that credit and debit card facilities are not available. Payments are accepted by bank transfer and cash only.

Cancellations & Date Changes

Cancellations made more than 30 days before arrival are eligible for a refund of any amount paid, excluding any bank or transfer fees.

For cancellations made 30 days or less before arrival, all payments made are non-refundable.

Guests may request one date change free of charge more than 30 days before arrival, subject to availability.

Date changes requested 30 days or less before arrival are subject to availability and may not be possible.

Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit is required with all reservations. This amount is held as protection against loss, damage, or exceptional cleaning requirements during your stay.

The security deposit will be returned at check-out once the property has been inspected and confirmed to be in good condition.

Deductions may be made in the event of damage, missing items, or excessive cleaning requirements.

Guest Information

At the time of booking, we require the full name and passport or ID number of the lead guest. Additional guest details may also be requested where required for registration purposes.

Check-in & Check-out

Check-in is available between 15:00 and 20:00. Check-out is between 08:00 and 11:00.

Arrivals after 20:00 and departures before 08:00 may incur a €20 surcharge.

Please plan your arrival to and departure from Thassos accordingly to avoid unnecessary delays.

Housekeeping & Linen

Villa Markella is a self-catering holiday property. The villa is cleaned before arrival and after departure.

Fresh towels and bed linen are provided for the number of guests included in the reservation. Sufficient spare linen and towels will be available for guests to refresh during their stay.

Daily housekeeping is not included. Guests are expected to maintain the property in a clean and tidy condition throughout their stay.

Property Care & Damage

Guests are expected to treat Villa Markella with care and respect during their stay, both indoors and outdoors.

Any damage, loss, or breakage must be reported as soon as possible. Costs for repairs, replacements, or additional cleaning may be deducted from the security deposit where necessary.

Pets

Small pets may be accepted upon prior agreement only.

For pet stays, an additional €100 enhanced cleaning fee applies to ensure the villa is thoroughly prepared for future guests, including those with allergies.

Electric Vehicle Charging

Charging electric vehicles at the property is not permitted without prior written approval.

Unauthorized charging of electric vehicles from the property supply is strictly prohibited for safety reasons and may result in additional charges or immediate termination of stay.

House Rules & Stay Agreement

Upon arrival, guests will be asked to sign a short letting agreement confirming the booking terms, stay conditions, and house rules of Villa Markella.

A copy of these terms may be shared in advance upon request. By confirming your reservation and staying at the property, you acknowledge and accept these conditions.

During Your Stay

The owner or a designated family representative will be available during your stay should any issue arise or assistance be required.

We are always happy to help with any reasonable request and will do our best to ensure your stay at Villa Markella is comfortable, relaxed, and memorable.
